As soon as they hear the first few notes, they\u2019re bobbing up and down, swaying side-to-side, smiles taking over their little faces.<\/p>\n<p>This is the power of music: It\u2019s a universal language that all of us are born ready to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s why our coauthors created Music Together\u2014because our research has proven time and again that early childhood is the best time to help little learners flourish musically.<\/p>\n<p>Whether we realize it or not, music is the background soundtrack to all of our lives. Songs can trigger memories, elicit emotions, even help decrease feelings of loneliness and depression in the elderly. That\u2019s why we want everyone to experience the beauty of music.<\/p>\n<p>At Music Together, we\u2019re about more than happy singalongs and toe-tapping music. We\u2019re about helping everybody find \u2013 and develop \u2013 their musical voice.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9a00; padding-top: 1em font-size: 16pt; font-weight: bold; font-style: italic; letter-spacing: -0.5px;\">Growing Children\u2019s Natural Music Abilities<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Every one of us is musical \u2013 we\u2019re born that way! All children can grow to love music and be active music-makers if they\u2019re exposed to musical stimulation at a young age. That exposure helps them become more comfortable with expressing themselves.<\/p>\n<p>Maybe they\u2019ll join the high school chorus; maybe they\u2019ll be confident enough in their dancing abilities to ask their crush to the prom; maybe one day they\u2019ll dance in the kitchen while cooking dinner for the family.
