Attending conference sessions also gives us the opportunity to hear from experts in the field so we can stay up-to-date on current practices and trends in early childhood education. <\/p>\n<div style=\"background-color: #d7fafa; margin:1em auto; padding: 2% 4% 1% 4%; text-align: left\" width=\"80%\" align=\"center\">\n<p ><span style=\"color: #32b8bf; font-size: 1.25em; font-weight: 600;\">National Association for Music Educators (NAfME)<\/span><br \/>Advocating for early childhood music education is an important part of the mission of NAfME. We join our fellow music educators in advocating for all children, as all deserve a quality music education from early childhood through their school years. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: #d7fafa; margin:1em auto; padding: 2% 4% 1% 4%; text-align: left\" width=\"80%\" align=\"center\">\n<p ><span style=\"color: #32b8bf; font-size: 1.25em; font-weight: 600;\">National Guild for Community Arts Education<\/span><br \/>\nThis conference brings together administrators of community music schools across the coutnry. At the National Guild conference this fall, we spoke with many about the importance of early childhood music education to preparing students for formal study.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: #d7fafa; margin:1em auto; padding: 2% 4% 1% 4%; text-align: left\" width=\"80%\" align=\"center\">\n<p ><span style=\"color: #32b8bf; font-size: 1.25em; font-weight: 600;\">American Music Therapy Association (AMTA)<\/span><br \/>\nOur Music Together Within Therapy team presented two sessions at this annual gathering of American music therapists. <em>Our Littlest Sounders and Movers: Supporting the Infant-Parent Relationship <\/em>and <em>Songs! Expand Your Repertoire and Clinical Creativity in Early Childhood Music Therapy<\/em> both had over 90 people in them! Both were great experiences for both presenters and attendees. The participants appeared engaged and enthusiastic about the material.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"background-color: #d7fafa; margin:1em auto; padding: 2% 4% 1% 4%; text-align: left\" width=\"80%\" align=\"center\">\n<p ><span style=\"color: #32b8bf; font-size: 1.25em; font-weight: 600;\">National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)<\/span><br \/>\nWe were once again a proud Bronze sponsor of this year&#8217;s National Association for the Education of Young Children Annual Conference. This conference represents our nation&#8217;s largest gathering of practitioners and thought leaders in early childhood education, with\u00a0thousands in attendance. Music Together presented five workshops for\u00a0participants on topics ranging from music&#8217;s\u00a0impact on\u00a0infant and toddler brain development, to\u00a0the benefits of music\u00a0participation in\u00a0preschool on children&#8217;s\u00a0language learning and emerging math skill development. We even had a session presented all in Spanish by our very own\u00a0&#8220;Uncle\u00a0Gerry&#8221;! Between all 5 sessions, we spoke to over 500 early childhood educators, spreading the word about the benefits of music-making in early childhood.
