Musical Memories Video Sharing Sweepstakes

To celebrate Sing With Your Child Month 2012, we’d like to find out what songs have been meaningful to you. Is there a particular lullaby or folksong you will always associate with your grandmother? Growing up, did you dance along to the “West Side Story” soundtrack or sing silly songs around the campfire? Have you shared this music with your child? We want to know!

Share your musical memory with us—
and enter to win a free semester of Music Together!

Create a short video telling us about one of your musical memories—and, in the spirit of Music Together and Sing With Your Child Month, show us you and your child singing, dancing, or playing along! Everyone who uploads a video will also have a chance to win a gift certificate for a free semester of Music Together classes at the location of the winner’s choice.

We’ll post share all of the submitted videos on our YouTube channel as they are submitted, so look out for them!

*Please note that by submitting your video, you are giving Music Together LLC permission to include the clip (in part or whole) as part of the final music video.

A few filming tips from Music Together’s A/V Department:

Videos should be 3 minutes or shorter in length.

Use the best camera you have (with a tripod, if possible).

Avoid filming with a low-quality cell phone camera. (Only use your cell phone if its camera records VGA quality or higher video).

Don’t wear white or “loud” patterns during filming.

Don’t stand in front of a window!

Minimize background noise: Turn off the TV, close windows, and sing the song a cappella.

OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO WIN. Void where prohibited by law. This Sweepstakes begins on February 20, 2012 and ends March 31, 2012 (“Promotion Period”). The winner’s name will be randomly drawn from all entries received.

1. ELIGIBILITY: 
The “Musical Memories” Video Sharing Sweepstakes is sponsored by Music Together LLC (“Sponsor”) and is open to all individuals worldwide who are 18 years of age or older. Void where prohibited by law. By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Contest Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor as well as the immediate family and household members of each such employee, officer, and director are not eligible to enter.

2. SPONSOR: 
Music Together LLC, located at 66 Witherspoon Street, Princeton, NJ 08542, USA.

3. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: 
From February 20 to March 31, 2012.

4. HOW TO ENTER:
During the sweepstakes period, submit a  video clip sharing your musical memory with your child(ren) to Music Together LLC either via hard copy or via the Internet at www.musictogether.com/MusicalMemories and then fill in the entry form. No purchase is necessary to win.

All entries must be received during the Sweepstakes Period. Any use of automatic, programmed or similar entry methods or agents (including but not limited to sweepstakes or sweepstakes entry services) are not permitted. Only one entry and submission per person. All entrants must complete all information requested in connection with their entry. All applications and submissions become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.

5. DRAWING and NOTIFICATION OF POTENTIAL WINNERS: 
The winner will be selected at random from among all eligible entries received. Drawing will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012. Sponsor, whose decisions as to the administration of the Sweepstakes and the selection of the potential winners are final, will conduct the drawing. By submitting an application and submission, you fully and unconditionally accept and agree to these Contest Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. The winner will be notified by phone and email within seven (7) days of the drawing. In order to claim his/her prize, the winner must, except where prohibited, return to Sponsor, within fourteen (14) days of being notified, a copy of the confirmation email received after entry in the winning Sweepstakes. The winner may also be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release and where lawful, a Publicity Release. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days after the first attempt to contact him/her, or fail to respond with required items within 14 days following the date of issuance of notification, at Sponsor’s discretion an alternate entrant may be selected in his/her place at random from among all eligible entries received. Potential winners must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements.

6. PRIZES AND ODDS OF WINNING: 
One gift certificate for one semester of Music Together classes at the center of the winner’s choice will be awarded. No cash equivalent or other substitution, assignment, or transfer of prize or prize component permitted. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Each winner is solely responsible for local, state, and federal taxes related to the receipt of any prize.

7. PUBLICITY: 
Acceptance of any prize shall constitute the winner’s consent to Sponsor’s use of the winner’s name, likeness, voice, opinions, prize information, and hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without limitation and without further payment or consideration.

8. OWNERSHIP OF SPONSOR
By submitting this entry form, I hereby assign to Music Together LLC the material submitted, including copyrights, and grant my permission to use the video clips of my child(ren), or me, or both of us together, submitted to Music Together LLC, in print, audio, video, and/or online formats for advertising and educational purposes. Music Together LLC will do so without making reference to our names or any other personal information unless having secured separate written permission in advance. The photos and recordings may be edited at the discretion of Music Together LLC, and I expressly release Music Together LLC, its agents, employees, and assigns from all claims which I have or may have for invasion of privacy, defamation, or any other cause of action arising out of exhibition or distribution or any materials in which my child(ren) and/or I appear. I waive any rights of compensation or ownership thereto. By signing this document, I represent and warrant that I am the parent or legal guardian of the child(ren) whose name(s) appear(s) next to mine above, and that we shall both and/or all be bound by this agreement.

9. RELEASE AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: 
By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Sponsor, its officers, directors, employees, affiliated companies and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims or causes of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or breach of any warranties, or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (e) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt of any prize. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Sweepstakes, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorneys’ fees or any other damages. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct or indirect damages. Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved under the laws of the United States of America and the State of New Jersey, without respect to any conflict of law issues, and entrant agrees that such shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the U.S. Federal and State Courts of New Jersey. By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of a court of subject matter jurisdiction on Mercer County, New Jersey.

10. GENERAL CONDITIONS: 
If for any reason an entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Sweepstakes if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any person it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Rules or in a disruptive manner. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Each person who enters this contest represents and warrants to sponsor that the material is the Applicant’s own original, previously unprotected and unpublished work.
